Vote for Me: A Musical Debate will have the candidates dancing and singing their way through the three-ring circus of American politics. It is a hilarious spoof of the electoral process where every political party and stereotype is turned on its head, and no one is spared! Requirements: 32 bars of any musical theater piece (contemporary preferred, upbeat, and with character). A reading from the show is available outside Mr. Wood's office. Students will attend seminars with Washington policy-makers, visit elected officials, and see first-hand the process of democracy and our nation's heritage. Counselors' Corner Parents of college-bound student athletes - If your daughter is a junior student athlete and hopes to participate in athletics in college (Division I or II), she must complete certain steps by the end of this year to ensure she is adhering to NCAA eligibility protocol. Review these tips with your daughter to help her do her best. Fast Start, a new program designed to help seniors with the transition to college, will hold seminars in Houston in early August and one-on-one coaching throughout the summer. The program equips students with a broad base of practical skills and advice in topics ranging from customized study systems, strategic class scheduling, short vs. long term goals, health, to finance 101.
