Mass next week: Join us for Mass next week - Tuesday at lunch - with Father R.B. Williams from Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houston. And don't forget to join us for the Rosary on Thursdays during lunch!
Published 2011-2012 Student Directory: The publishing date of the student directory is fast approaching! Each person, student and parent, can have their personal phone number listed in our printed student directory. If you want your phone number listed in the directory, make sure you fill out the ‘directory’ field in the ‘Update My Profile’ section of AcademyConnection. Each person, (student, mother, father) must log-in with their unique User ID and password in order to add this number to their profile. Once you have logged in, you can enter any number that you want to be printed in the directory, whether it is your cell phone, home phone, or business phone. If you would rather not have a phone listed, then you can just leave the directory field blank. However, for students, the home phone number will be listed unless a ‘directory’ number has been added. For questions, contact emouton@st-agnes.org.
Cafeteria refunds: If you still require a refund from last school year from our previous cafeteria service through ECI, please contact (713)722-7773, ext. 301. The phone number published last week was incorrect and we apologize for any inconvenience.
From the Dean of Students: As we welcome our new food service, Sage Dining, we ask for your assistance with help in educating our students on an issue. Sage Dining provides plastic cutlery for customers who purchase lunch in the cafeteria. Many of our students who bring lunch from home use the plasticware even when they have not supported Sage Dining by purchasing a meal. Sage is working diligently to offer cafeteria service to our community that is affordable and healthy. If they continue to allow non-customers to use the plastic cutlery their costs will rise and we will see the results of that. Please help us by providing either reusable cutlery for your daughter’s lunch or your own plasticware. By using reusable we will also be supporting our mission to reduce, reuse and recycle. I will be working with your daughters on this issue as well. Thank you in advance for your help with this matter.

Thank you everyone for your responses to the Dad/Daughter Bowling Social scheduled for Sept. 17. Due to your tremendous response, all spots have been filled. But please note we will be doing another dad/daughter "social event" on Jan. 21- a Mat Ball Tournament on campus. Please mark your calendars now!
When the announcement for mat ball comes out make every effort to sign up early, as our events are proving to be very popular. The Dads' Club thanks you for your support of St. Agnes Academy and our daughters.

Booster Club
Our Tiger teams are very busy this weekend, with varsity volleyball participating in the St. Stephan's Tournament and our ninth graders playing in the Spring High School Freshman Tournament. Look for volleyball to move into district play against Incarnate Word Academy on Sept. 15. Cross country will participate in the T.C. Jester Park meet Saturday. Junior varsity field hockey takes on Houston Christian High School 4:30 p.m. Thursday on their campus.
The Booster Club continues to look for volunteers that would like to help in the concession stand after school. If your daughter participates in an outdoor sport, we hope you will take a shift on Tuesday or Thursday from 2:50 p.m. - 4 p.m. Our indoor sports have mandatory concession hours during home games. Our next Booster Club meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 14 in the Choral Room. Light dinner at 6:15 p.m. with the meeting slated for 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Go Tigers!
