PARENTS: Please plan to attend Follow Your Daughter's Schedule Night at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday beginning in the Auditorium. Parents will have an opportunity to meet their daughter's teachers and learn more about her classes. See you there!
From the Dean of Students: Greetings and welcome back to what promises to be a great new school year! Just a friendly reminder that we at SAA are dedicated to educating the whole child and preparing them, not just academically for the responsibilities that await them after high school, but also emotionally. Please empower your daughter by avoiding bringing items up to school that they have forgotten at home. This includes lunches, laptops, homework, etc. It is an important lesson for them to learn that if they forget something they simply must face the consequences. I assure you that if it happens even once, they will learn a valuable lesson and most likely develop a system of organization that works for them. I encourage you to give your daughters this opportunity. Many thanks! - Elaine Eichelberger, Dean of Students
Cafeteria information: Friday is the last day that students will be able to carry a negative balance on their Sage Dining account. Balances remaining from last year with ECI did not transfer to Sage Dining. Please go here to set up a new account with Sage. Your daughter must either have money on her account or pay cash beginning Monday. Negative balances can be cleared either on the account or with payment via your daughter. If you have funds remaining with ECI, you should receive an e-mail from ECI explaining how to obtain a refund. If you do not receive an e-mail from ECI you may call them at 713-772-7773, ext. 301. A customer representative with ECI should answer all of your questions regarding refunds, however please contact Dale Grassman should you need additional help.
Midterm Exams info: Parents, pease note that midterm exams will be Dec. 14-17, 2011. Please do not make any travel plans until Sunday, Dec. 18 to avoid having to pay a $50 fee to take an exam early. Thanks for your cooperation!
