The Tiger Girls dance team is taking to the stage for "Rock-n-Roar", the annual spring show at 7 p.m. Friday, Apr. 13 and Saturday, Apr. 14. As a tribute to rock and roll music, the 40-member team of dancers will perform to well-known classics in the St. Agnes Academy Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at the door and are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and faculty, staff, and children under age five are free. For more information, contact Coach Julie Chilton.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Mixed Chorus Spring Concert, 2 p.m. Sunday, Apr. 15 at Houston Baptist University in the Dunham Theater. Hear favorite songs that have been performed during the 2011-2012 school year and watch the 2nd Annual Mixed Chorus video highlighting events and honoring our graduating seniors!
"Teens and the Media" will be presented by Sasha McLean, LPC, LMFT at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Apr. 18 at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road. Parents, educators, and counselors are encouraged to attend this free program to understand how teens are affected by the media and how to develop strategies for support and empowerment. Houston Rockets Private School Appreciation Night is Apr. 21. Tickets start at $15 and can be secured by contacting Nick Townsend or calling 713-758-7332.
Two exciting musical events are being presented by St. Agnes Academy and Strake Jesuit College Preparatory: Spring Orchestra Concert features "Magic" at 7 p.m. Monday, Apr. 23 in the Parsley Center - The Chamber and Symphony Orchestras directed by Mr. Guillermo Hernandez-Ching and Mr. Ben Ware. Spring Band Concert features "Rock This Town" at 7 p.m. Friday, Apr. 27 in the Parsley Center - Jazz Ensemble and Symphonic Band directed by Mr. Ben Ware and Mr. Guillermo Hernandez-Ching.
For both performances, tickets are available at the door for $10.00 per person, $5.00 for Senior Citizens and free for children under 12. You can purchase tickets early at the Strake Jesuit Spirit Store for $8.00 each. For more information call 713-448-8445 or 713-490-8248.

Legacy Paver Program - Honor your 2012 SAA Graduate with a legacy paver. Pavers make excellent graduation gifts honoring your daughter's hard work and accomplishments at St Agnes Academy. Counselors' Corner
Junior students are reminded that Part A of their reflection sheet is due on May 1, 2012. Part B will be released on the website on June 4, 2012. Students are reminded to be thoughtful and thorough when completing both parts of their reflections as this greatly aids the counselors when writing letters of recommendation in the fall.

Dads' Club
Currently the St. Agnes Dads' Club mission is to facilitate the following: 1) Leadership and support of the St. Agnes Academy community 2) Community service through action 3) Social events and fun 4) Education and enlightenment through expert guest speakers

The Dads' Club surprise event on April 11 was free ice cream for all students during their lunch break. If you didn't catch it, just wait till next school year for one of our great events.
The St. Agnes Academy "Blessing of the Fields" for the new Athletics Complex will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Apr 22. We need volunteers to help facilitate transportation from SAA to the fields and back. The volunteer should have a permit to drive a large bus. If interested, please contact Lori Pinter.
Our next meeting is at 6 p.m. May 7 with incoming freshmen dads and Sr. Jane. Food and drinks will be provided. See you there.

Mothers' Club
Join Sr. Jane, Archbishop Fiorenza, elected officials, and SAA students and parents for what promises to be a delightful afternoon of friends and refreshments at the Blessing of the Fields. Dress is casual or SAA Spirit Wear attire. Kindly RSVP online at blessing.eventbrite.com. We also need volunteers to help set up the refreshments that day; we have two shifts: 1:45-3 p.m. and 3-4:15 p.m.; please email Nancy Loncarich if you can help.

Athletics & Booster Club
The Booster Club is happy to announce our officers for fall 2012: Vice President - Gina Sessums, Secretary - Joy Smith, Treasurer - Kim Kendal, congratulations to all!
Our Lacrosse team will be playing the first home game on our new field at 5:15 p.m. Monday, Apr. 16. All are encouraged to come cheer our team and enjoy our much-anticipated inaugural game. Our softball team had a big win over Beaumont Kelly this week and will finish district play over the next week. Water polo plays in a Clearlake tournament this weekend and moves on to regional championship next Thursday. Our Golf team is heading to the state finals on Apr. 23. Tennis team had nice wins over Houston Christian and St. Pius X this week, winning all lines; they head to district on Monday. Our track team participated in districts on Thursday, Apr. 12.
The softball team is hosting "Dogs in the Den" tonight, April 13, on our softball field. Come out and enjoy our famous Tiger hot dogs! Game time is 5 p.m. All RSVP's for our spring sports banquet on May 16, should be turned in. If you have not replied, please do so. Go Tigers!
