This year, the St. Agnes senior class decided to carry on the tradition of establishing a scholarship fund in their name. The Class of 2013 Scholarship will continue to give young St. Agnes women the same opportunities that this class did throughout the life of the Academy. Each year, the scholarship will roll over 3-5% into the total financial aid package provided by the Academy, providing much needed aid to deserving young women in perpetuity.
One out of ten of our students attend St. Agnes with the assistance of need-based financial aid. For the 2012-2013 school year, St. Agnes awarded almost $1 million in financial aid and we must plan to provide even more. Half of these funds are provided by gifts to the Academy Fund, and the other half comes from scholarships in the endowment.
Many thanks to the Senior Family Committee who have been voices of support for this fund.
