St. Agnes loses in Final Four SAA basketball lost in the Final Four to a very tough Argyle Liberty Christian team. With the loss the Tigers' season has come to an end with a 31-9 overall record, 9-1 district record with a co-district championship, and a #3 state ranking going into the state playoffs. The Tigers won The Charlie Thomas Classic Tournament as well as the Boerne Holiday Hoops Tournament and placed 4th in the Riviera Roundup composed of 32 teams. Along the way, the Tigers beat 9 state ranked opponents including #1 ranked Dallas Bishop Lynch in the Regional Final. Congratulations girls on a wonderful year.
2012 - 2013 Co-District Champions! SAA tied with Concordia Lutheran for District Champions with a 9-1 district record (29-8 overall). SAA lost the playoff game at Concordia (#1 seed) and will now be the #2 seed from District 3-5A in the TAPPS State Playoffs.
St. Agnes Academy and Concordia Lutheran raised OVER $5000 for the Kay Yow Cancer Fundduring the Ponytails and Pink Week. Many thanks go out to Bill and Susan English who helped spearhead this tremendous event!
The week was concluded with their 2nd district match-up game at SAA. Entering the contest, both teams were highly ranked in the state with 27-7 St. Agnes at #5 and 28-8 Concordia at #3. The Tigers won the game 59 - 54 to set up a possible district championship game Tuesday, February 19th at Concordia Lutheran.
At all HOME athletic contests there will be a gate fee for all visiting fans. The St. Agnes community is admitted free of charge. We encourage all members of the community to wear their St. Agnes Academy spirit attire to every athletic contest. Go Tigers!

The Varsity won the 2012 Boerne ISD Holiday Christmas Tournament. They went 5-0 for the week defeating #24 Hondo, Seguine, Burnett, #23 Boerne and #22 Boerne-Champion HS.
The Varsity lost in the Consolation Championship by 3 points to public 5A Mesquite Horn in the 2012 Knights of Columbus Tournament in Dallas, TX
The Freshman won the 2012 SAA Freshman Tournament and the JV team placed third in the 2012 SAA Junior Varsity Tournament on December 1st.
The Varsity Team placed 6th in the 24 team 2012 Corpus Christi Riviera Roundup Tournament. They lost in the Gold Bracket Consolation Championship by 1 point to Leander HS. Michelle Nwokedi was named on the All-Tournament Team. Congrats Michelle and her teammates!

Sydney Colson (center back row) spoke to some of the members of the team about image as a player and as a young woman. Miss Colson played for Coach Hollinger in 2003, Texas A&M in 2007-2011 where she won a National Championship and then for the New York Liberty in the WNBA. Now she is playing overseas in Poland.

Another Tiger signs to play college basketball! Our own Amber Cooper officially signs to play for Boston College! Miss Cooper played for SAA in 2010 and 2011 when she moved from Louisianna as a sophomore. Amber follows other SAA Tigers who are currently playing collegiate basketball; Jennifer Nwokedi at the University of Houston and Chelsea Bass at The University of Texas. Congratulations Amber!
