Last Chance: Don't miss your last opportunity to hear the beautiful sounds of the Double Triple Trio as they perform at the Texas Renaissance Festival Saturday and Sunday, November 19 and 20. The group consists of the St. Agnes Triple Trio and the Strake Jesuit Triple Trio. The festival is held from 9 a.m. to dusk in Plantersville. For more information, visit www.texrenfest.com.

Sr. Jane on TV: Check out Head of School Sr. Jane Meyer, O.P. on HCC TV at 3 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Tuesday on "Dialogue Houston" discussing the Connecting Communities project with Rice University's Kinder Institute for Urban Research. You can find HCC TV on Comcast channel 19 and AT&T UVerse channel 99.

Got water bottles?: Ms. Vincent is collecting used and clean water bottles for a compost pile competition. Please donate your water bottles to her by taking them to Room S201.

Mark "The Messiah" on your holiday calendar: Don't miss SAA/SJ Mixed Chorus' 23rd presentation of Handel's "Messiah" at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 and 10 at the Parsley Center at Strake Jesuit. The concert begins with the choir singing some traditional and non-traditional holiday pieces, followed by "The Messiah." A highlight of the evening is an invitation to SAA/SJ choir alumni to join in the singing of the "Hallelujah Chorus." The event is open to the public. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased from choir members or during designated times at SAA/SJ locations the week of the performance. Tickets will also be sold at the door and are dependent on availability. For ticket information, contact messiahboxoffice@gmail.com.

Spring Break Trip to Paris and Madrid: Open to all St. Agnes students and family members - we still have a few openings, so consider giving your daughter this great trip as a Christmas present. In Spain we will visit Madrid, take the AVE to Córdoba, and ride our private motor coach to Granada and Malaga. We will then fly to Paris and spend three days discovering its treasures with our courier. Our trip ends with a special treat - dinner at the Eiffel Tower. If you are planning on coming you need to bring Marie Moore a $400 deposit check made out to TSA Tours ASAP. TSA needs to know exactly how many people are coming in order to book our direct flights via Continental. We depart on Friday, March 9 and return on Saturday, March 17. Please contact Marie Moore or Marcia Clark for more information/electronic brochure at: mmoore@st-agnes.org or Marcia.Clark2@st-agnes.org

Start the Christmas season with the gift of music!: The Strake Jesuit/St. Agnes Academy Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Orchestra and Symphonic Band will present "Traditions of Christmas" on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Parsley Center. Tickets are available at the door for $10. Children under 12 are free. Discounted tickets can be purchased at the spirit store for $8.

Attention band and orchestra parents: Our next Booster Club meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 in the Band Hall. It will be our last meeting before our Christmas concert.

Note to parents: Psssst! Parents, you will be receiving a very special Mothers' Club letter soon about a special collection for some very deserving recipients. Please let Colette Potts know if you have any questions either by phone 281-492-7811 or via e-mail at thepotts1@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance for your participation! Remember, mum's the word!

Contact Ms. Thompson at 713-219-5506 or at kthompso@st-agnes.org to purchase an ad in the 2012 edition of the SAA yearbook, Veritas. Click here for more details. Space is limited so be sure to contact us early, we will be on a first come basis. ALL ARTWORK AND MONEY DUE 12/1/11.

Summer Odyssey - Enjoy Two Weeks Touring Italy!: Enjoy your summer dream tour of Italy with SAA parents, teachers, and students departing May 31, 2012. Stay in great hotels located in the historical city centers and explore the Vatican, St. Peter's, the Catacombs of St. Sebastian, Villa Borghese, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Orvieto, Siena, the Cathedral of Florence, the Palazzo Vecchio, Palazzo Davanzati, Assisi, and Frascati. There are far too many sites included in our itinerary to list but no quick "drive bys." We value a slower travel pace, allowing our participants the opportunity to soak up the culture, explore, and enjoy. Tours are scheduled creatively, such as a private Vatican tour at night and afternoon tours of the Uffizi and the Accademia when the crowds have thinned. Expert guides combined with experienced tour leader and SAA's art history teacher (Laura Costa) will enrich your visit to each site. For brochures or more information, please contact Laura Costa.
