Course Requests Parents can get a list of their daughter’s courses for next year on NetView. Log into AcademyConnection, choose NetView from the left menu, then select Registration, and Enter Requests from the top menu in NetView. You should see a list of next year’s courses for your daughter. Please bring this list with you to the Used Book Sale on May 31. If you need your username or password for AcademyConnection, please contact Toni Johnson at 713.219.5476.
Textbooks Bought and Sold St. Agnes provides several ways for students to sell their textbooks: 1. Used Book Sale on Friday, May 31 in the auditorium (For buying books, get Queue Number here beginning on Saturday, May 25) 2. Online Used Book Sale – now open for selling and purchasing books from current students 3. Follett Textbook Buyback event on Friday, May 31 in the auditorium foyer. For more information about these go to the Bookroom area of the SAA website!
Fall Musical Auditions Auditions for the fall musical will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 31. The audition will include 1) A cold reading from the show that will be assigned at the audition; 2) Must sing 32 bars of a musical theater song of your choice, preferably something from contemporary musical theater (1990 to present). Contact Jeremy Wood for additional information.
Class of 2013 Scholarship Our senior class has raised an incredible $39,375 towards their $50,000 goal! We hope every senior family will consider making a gift in honor of their daughter, her class, and the future of Academy women at St. Agnes. Don’t have a senior but want to make a gift in honor of a friend, neighbor, or relative? Donate online, write her name in the comments, and we’ll let her know. The Class of 2013 We bid a fond farewell to our graduates as we report some of the information regarding their college placement. During the course of the school year, our office processed 1,468 transcripts for college admissions, and an additional 605 mid-year transcripts for our seniors.
Of the 203 graduates in the Class of 2013, 59% will be attending public colleges and universities and 56% will be staying in-state to go to school. In all, the Class of 2013 will be attending 77 different colleges and universities in 25 different states and the District of Columbia. The total scholarship worth of this class is $24,282,745.32. Virtual Campus Tours Having the opportunity to tour a college campus can really enhance your daughter’s perspective and ability to see herself at a particular college or university. When it's not possible to visit every campus she is interested in, there is now an online solution to that problem. Dads' Club News
On behalf of the St Agnes Dads’ Club, thank you for a wonderful school year! We want to thank the dads who have put their time and talents into making all the father/daughter events successful, especially the parents of the departing graduates. We are forever grateful for your involvement. The Dad’s Club is proud to announce that a $6,000 donation will be made to the Dads’ Club scholarship fund.
See you at the first meeting for the new school year on Sept. 9.

Mothers' Club News
The Mothers' Club is once again providing snacks to the girls during finals week; please consider sending in some granola bars, crackers, water or anything else you think they might enjoy! Questions? Contact Rose Lindsey or Marion Bankhead.
Maria Flores could use more help with the Used Book Sale. Remember, if you volunteer, you get first chance at those books! The openings are from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. May 31, and from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. June 3 (book and money pick up).
From Nancy Loncarich: This is my last Tiger Tracks as Mothers' Club President. I want to thank everyone for volunteering and helping to make St. Agnes Academy the wonderful place that it is. I have enjoyed my time with the Mothers' Club. I hope that everyone has a safe, peaceful summer. We shall see you, tan and rested, at the Welcome Coffee on Aug. 16. |
