The Pajama Game: Mark your calendars for the SAA/SJ production of the 1954 Broadway hit, The Pajama Game. This family-friendly musical based on the novel 7½ Cents by Richard Bissell will be presented at 7:30 p.m Feb. 24-25, March 2-3. with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m Feb. 26. Retreat Drivers Needed: Attention sophomore parents! The sophomore retreat Wednesday, Feb. 15 needs YOU to drive a group of girls to participate in a community service project 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. The class will be going in the morning to various locations in the area, providing service to children and seniors. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet some of your daughter's classmates and spread a little SAA spirit into the community. Click here for more information or to volunteer. Questions? The International Food Festival: Join us Friday, Jan. 27 during the lunch hour. All students are asked to participate by bringing a meal, side dish, or dessert that represents a culture or heritage of their choice. Bring enough for twelve or more servings in a disposable aluminum container if it needs to be re-heated, or in any type of disposable container if it doesn't need to be re-heated. All food should be fully cooked before it arrives at school. Bring food to the cafeteria before school on Jan. 27. Include a note with your name, the name of the food, country of origin, and whether it's served hot, cold, or at room temperature. Tell us if it includes nuts or shellfish.
We will be feeding 800+ students, so we need many volunteers. Let us know if you can help: Friday, 7:15-10 a.m. or 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Contact Andrea Hollingsworth for more information.
Financial Aid and Application Process: Online Financial Aid applications for the 2012-2013 academic year can be completed through our online application process. All applications for the 2012-2013 academic year financial aid must be completed by the Feb. 15 deadline. Parents can complete the online application with the Independent School Management's FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) program. Click here for more information. Lecture Series on The Crusades: SAA is pleased to host a unique learning opportunity for all those who love history, politics, religious history, art, and architecture. Join Dr. William Neidinger (Strake Jesuit '68) for his six part lecture series on the Crusades. All are welcome: adults, students, family, and friends. Lectures will be in the Fleming Room on Monday evenings, 7-8:30 p.m. Jan. 30 to March 5. Learn about the political, religious, and military events that led up to the Crusades and the two centuries of warfare that changed forever the relationship between Christians and Muslims.

College Financial Aid Seminar: The Strake Jesuit College Counseling Office is pleased to offer a college financial aid workshop 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 in the Strake Jesuit library. If you plan to attend, please notify Alejandra Cashiola in the Guidance office and indicate if you would like to stay for help with the FAFSA.
Dads' Club
Thank you to Mimi Butler & Leigh Stubbs, co-chairs of this year's SAA Gala, for speaking to the Dads' Club about the 2012 St. Agnes Legacy Gala and Auction on March 24. Read more about the SAA Gala here.
Father-daughter mat ball has been put on hold for the time being due to other activities. The ISEE Exam will be Saturday Jan. 28 and the Dads' Club will assist with logistics for this event.
Also, Dads' Club will participate in the Archdiocese Steps for Students 5K Saturday, Feb. 18. More details will follow. The Raffle is currently ongoing at different churches. If you wish to volunteer and help or even signup your church to host raffle sales, please contact Brooke Leibe for more information.
The next Dads' Club meeting will be 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6. The guest speaker will be Dean of Students, Elaine Eichelberger. We hope to see you then.

Athletics & Booster Club
The Booster Club was proud to provide all the girls a tiger string back pack for the winter pep rally. The girls were excited and they look great.
Our JV swim team is preparing for the City Championship Jan. 28 and the varsity squad is preparing for district regional meet. The basketball team takes on Incarnate Word tonight and they will honor their seniors at home on Jan. 24 when they take on Houston Christian. Our soccer team plays against St. John's at home on Jan. 24.
