Parent Survey: Please help us prepare for our accreditation self-study by taking this brief survey regarding our mission effectiveness. Click here to complete. Raffle Collection:
Thanks to our Raffle volunteers, collection went great this week! Please note, you may only turn in tickets on Raffle collection days. We will have collections Feb. 7, 14, and 16 before the Raffle Holiday on Friday, Feb. 17. If you would like more information on the raffle or to opt-out, please click here.

Help the Green Club!:
The Green Club is looking for flowers, soil and NEW pots for our Earth Week activities. If you are interested in donating any of these items, please contact Jocelyn Vincent.

The Pajama Game:
Mark your calendars for the SAA/SJ production of the 1954 Broadway hit, The Pajama Game. This family-friendly musical based on the novel 7½ Cents by Richard Bissell will be presented at 7:30 p.m Feb. 24-25, March 2-3. with a Sunday matinee at 3 p.m Feb. 26. Tickets are $10 and will be available for sale the week of the production and at the door. Questions? Contact us for ticket reservations and more information.

Retreat Drivers Needed:
Attention sophomore parents! The sophomore retreat Wednesday, Feb. 15 needs YOU to drive a group of girls to participate in a community service project 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. The class will be going in the morning to various locations in the area, providing service to children and seniors. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet some of your daughter's classmates and spread a little SAA spirit into the community. Click here for more information or to volunteer. Questions? Sophomore Faculty/Staff Appreciation Lunch:
Please support our staff by remembering to send in your gift cards or cash donations. You can mail them to Laura Musemeche at 4316 Bellaire Blvd. Bellaire, 77401 or drop them off at the front office for Brooke Leibe. Remember to drop your desserts off in the faculty/staff lunchroom Feb. 8.

Financial Aid and Application Process:
Online Financial Aid applications for the 2012-2013 academic year can be completed through our online application process. All applications for the 2012-2013 academic year financial aid must be completed by the Feb. 15 deadline. Parents can complete the online application with the Independent School Management’s FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) program. Click here for more information. Last Chance to Register for Lecture Series on The Crusades: SAA is pleased to host a unique learning opportunity for all those who love history, politics, religious history, art, and architecture. Join Dr. William Neidinger (Strake Jesuit '68) for his six part lecture series on the Crusades. Lectures will be in the Fleming Room on Monday evenings, 7-8:30 p.m. Jan. 30 to March 5. Counselors' Corner

College Information Night: Join us at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, in the SAA auditorium for the SAA/SJ joint College Information Night for junior and sophomore students and their parents. For more information on topics of discussion and which colleges will be there, click here.

Sophomore Parent/Student Conferences: Sophomores and their parents are invited to meet with one of the six counselors to discuss course selection, testing, and the beginning of the college application process. Conferences are 30 minutes and are Feb. 21-Mar. 30. Click here to read more about topics of discussion and the online registration for conferences.

Attention Junior Parents: The college counselors began individual junior conferences Jan.19. We ask that each junior meet with their counselor by Spring Break. To read more about we discuss at these meetings, click here for our weekly newsletter, Tuesday Tidbits.

Course Selections for 9th, 10th and 11th graders: Next year's course selections are right around the corner! Selections will be made in Theology classes during the week of Feb. 6. To read more on advice for parents and students on creating a four-year plan, click here.


Dads' Club

Join us for the next Dads' Club meeting 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6. The guest speaker is Dean of Students, Elaine Eichelberger.

The SAA Dads' Club will help out at the Archdiocese Steps for Students 5K Saturday, Feb. 18. More details will follow.

Mothers' Club

The International Food Festival was very successful! A BIG thank you to Andrea Hollingsworth and all the volunteers who helped at school today or sent delicious food in!

Our next meeting is noon Wednesday, Feb. 1 in the Fleming Room. We will discuss the many upcoming events and enjoy a light lunch. Hope to see you then!

Save the date Friday, Mar. 30 for Mothers' Club Retreat. More details to follow.

You should have received your invitation to the annual St. Agnes Senior Style Show, Monday, Feb. 20! If you can assist with the fittings; please contact Kristen Palmer. It is sure to be a fun-filled time! Put together a table of friends, or indicate that you would like to sit with other moms and daughters in the same grade.

Athletics & Booster Club

The soccer team hosted their first ever Dogs in the Den night Tuesday. We used our new flags and tents and the team sold almost 600 hot dogs! Our next 25 cent dog night will be hosted by the basketball team on Feb. 10 vs. St. Pius X.

The JV swim team is excited to participate in the Houston private school city championship this Saturday. The soccer team takes on Houston Christian tonight and St. Louis on Saturday. SAA basketball plays an away game against Beaumont Kelly tonight and Incarnate Word Academy Jan. 31.

Reminder to all winter sport team parents, please forward a photo of each team senior to me by Mar. 1 and make sure that all team members have returned their banquet form.

Please note, the next Booster Club meeting is now Feb. 15. Go Tigers!
