Elle Woods and friends will take the stage by pink storm as St. Agnes Academy (SAA) presents "Legally Blonde: The Musical." Performances will be in the SAA auditorium on February 22 and 23 and March 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a matinee performance at 2:00 p.m. on February 24.
Based on the popular movie, Legally Blonde: The Musical has been performed on Broadway and London's West End. It tells the story of Elle Woods, whose seemingly perfect life is turned upside-down when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her so he can start getting serious about his life and attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle uses a combination of effort and personal charm to get into Harvard Law as well. Once there, she struggles with peers, professors, and her plans to resume her relationship with Warner. With the help of Paulette and Emmett, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.
The SAA production of Legally Blonde: The Musical is under the direction of Art Buckley and Felicia Miller, with Jeremy Wood as Musical Director. Kenneth Epting and Julie Chilton are the Choreographers.
Cast members include Maggie McMeans (Elle Woods), Nick Rathgeb (Emmett), Madeline Garvis (Paulette), Christopher Auchter (Warner), Ryan Lord (Callahan), Katie Butler (Serena), Kyla Sloan (Pilar), Peyton Manning (Margot), Meg Roppolo (Brooke), Denise Wong (Vivienne), Alex Gambini (Kyle), and Caterina Nasr (Enid). Members of the Greek Chorus are Lauren Holladay, Laura Stubbs, Leigh Frederickson, Emily Elkins, and Ellie Roppolo. Michaela Williams and Dani Echeverri are Delta Nu Girls. The chorus includes Sarah Boatwright, Hannah Descartin, AnnaMae Durham, Melanie McCarthy, Maddie McAllister, Katherine Pepin, Lillian Young, Daniel Buckner, Ronald Chavis, Andrew Donnell, Luke Dorman, Cary Okerlund, Ethan O'Neal, and Zac Wierschem. Stage Manager is Chloe Walker.
