Procedures for Current Students
Used Book Sales - May 2013

Each year The Mothers' Club has a Used Book Sale to help those parents and students who are unable to arrange to buy used books from someone else. Please follow the directions below very carefully. Times are strictly adhered to. |

9th GRADERS, SOPHOMORES, AND JUNIORS
- Drop off books in Auditorium on May 31 (last day of underclass exams) between 7:00 and 10:30 a.m.
- Purchase books in Auditorium on May 31 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Bring separate checks as books will be purchased individually. If using cash, no change will be available.
- Pick up money and unsold books in the Auditorium on June 3 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. only. For a friend to pick up unsold books/money, a letter signed by the book owner stating approval of the collection must be turned in at this time. If books are not picked up, money will be mailed home and unsold books become property of St. Agnes Academy.

SENIORS
- Drop off books
- on Thursday, May 23 between graduation and Madonna Day practices in the music hallway near the Concession Stand, or
- on Friday, May 31 between 7:00 and 10:30 a.m. in the Auditorium
- Pick up money and unsold books in the Auditorium on June 3 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. only. For a friend to pick up unsold books/money, a letter signed by the book owner stating approval of the collection must be turned in at this time. TO PREPARE FOR DROPPING OFF BOOKS
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE BOOKS

All books must be clean and in good condition. (no pages missing)

CDs will not be accepted.

Paperbacks will be accepted if they are in good condition and the correct edition.

Workbooks will not be sold.

Books on SAA Used Book list for Strake Jesuit courses taken by SAA students will be accepted. Please see bottom of the SAA Used Book list.
- Used SAT, ACT and AP Prep books will be accepted.

Any books left for resale that are outdated will be thrown away and not returned.

Suggested pricing guidelines: Check the 75% off book prices on the SAA Used Book list. If books are in excellent condition, you can ask more; however if priced too high, will probably not sell.
WHEN DROPPING OFF BOOKS
- Fill out the mailing envelope provided that day with your address for returning money not picked up on June 3. (must be done even if planning on picking up your money)
- Turn in $2 handling fee. Books will not be accepted without $2 cash!
During the May 31 book drop off time, a Follett representative will be in the Auditorium foyer purchasing used textbooks (including books that will not be used at St. Agnes next year) and accepting current year books rented from Follett. |
