  Financial Aid

The Financial Aid program at St. Agnes Academy provides financial assistance to students based on the family's demonstrated financial need. Assistance through this program is available to cover the cost of tuition and the freshman laptop purchase. The determination of need is based on a standard application-process that requires all financial aid applicants to submit specific financial data by a specific deadline. This financial information is evaluated by a Financial Aid Committee that determines all awards. For the 2014 - 2015 school year, approximately 10% of the student body received financial aid totaling $1,149,000.

The financial aid budget provides funds for both partial and full tuition assistance. Grants for full tuition are the exception, since the Financial Aid Committee expects to see the parents' willingness to make a commitment, as well as to participate in other aspects of a student's attendance at St. Agnes Academy. The underlying intent of the Financial Aid Program is that no student be deterred by financial reasons from applying to St. Agnes Academy, and parents who anticipate a need for assistance are encouraged to apply for aid on behalf of their child. When financial aid is offered, the Financial Aid Program expects each recipient to make a conscientious effort to demonstrate a positive attitude in all phases of school life.

Financial-aid decisions are made separately from and independently of admission decisions. The admission decision is made in advance of the financial-aid review, and the Financial Aid Committee has no involvement with a candidate's being offered a place at St. Agnes. Every tuition grant is made for one year and may be renewed subject to the parents filing an annual financial statement and the students maintaining the sound academic and high citizenship standards expected of scholarship-holders. Families can usually expect financial aid to be continued throughout the student's enrollment, however the Financial Aid Committee may reduce awards or deny subsequent grant requests if the family's financial condition improves. Funds are not reserved for families who do not follow the standard financial-aid application process or who do not meet the stated deadlines.

St. Agnes Academy admits students without regard to race, color or national or ethnic origin in the administration of its admission and educational policies, financial aid programs, employment practices, and other school-administered programs.
