News and Media
Cross Country Teams Win
(Sept 27) Congratulations to the varsity cross country team for winning the Houston Christian Invitational. The following runners medaled: Juniors Carly Graf, Kara Koinis and Erica Smith; Ninth grader Jillian Claunch; Sophmores Amy Shoebotham, Torey Dierckman, Caroline Bortz, and Annie Goodyear.
The Junior Varsity followed with a second place win with Ninth grader Audrey Brook winning first place. The following runners medaled: Sophmores Sophie Roppolo and Haley Boyd; Ninth graders Regina Vatterott, Amanda McLamb and Leila Ruiz.
Cross Country Wins District
(Oct. 9) After a strong second place finish last week at the Bellaire Invitational, the cross country teams trained to compete at the district meet on Oct. 8.
A fine performance by both teams brought home a victory from the district meet. Junior Carly Graf led the varsity with a third-place win. Varsity medalists were Juniors Carly Graf and Kara Koinis; Sophomores Torey Dierckman, Amy Shoebotham and Annie Goodyear; and Ninth Graders Jillian Claunch, Audrey Brook, and Annie Hohlt.
Junior Katherine Dunn led the junior varsity with a first place win followed by Sophomore Haley Boyd who won second place. Medalists were Katherine Dunn; Sophomores Kaitlyn Kennedy, Haley Boyd and Sophie Roppolo; and Ninth Graders Regina Vatterott and Leila Ruiz.
