GPA/Rank in Class
GPA is determined by using a 4.0 system with one bonus point given for honors courses. It is cumulative from 9th
grade. The grading scale is as follows:
| |
|
Regular |
Honors |
| A |
90 -100 |
4.0 |
5.0 |
| B |
80 - 89 |
3.0 |

| C |

2.0 |
3.0 |
| D |
65 - 69 |

2.0 |
| F |

Class rank is determined by using a scale which more closely discriminates between the differences in grades than
does the GPA computation process. Differing point values are given within the grade range, and one bonus point
is given for honors course work. Decimal figures are rounded to the nearest tenth. The student's position in the
class is designated by quintiles. In addition, the top five percent and ten percent are identified. |
