Incoming members of the class of 2012 who are interested in advanced or honors placement in the subjects of math, science or foreign language should take the appropriate test at the date and time listed below.  Please use the following guidelines to determine if you should sit for placement exams.

Math
If you are currently taking Pre-Algebra, you may take the Algebra 1 placement exam to determine if you are eligible for Honors Algebra 1.  If you wish to be placed in regular Algebra 1, you do not have to sit for the placement exam.
If you are currently taking Algebra 1, you must take the math placement exam to determine your eligibility for Ninth Grade Geometry or Ninth Grade Honors Geometry.

Science
If you are interested in honors placement for Biology, you must take the science placement exam to determine your eligibility for Honors Biology.  Only those students interested in honors placement should take the placement exam.

Foreign Language
If you are currently taking Spanish, French or Latin and are interested in placing into Spanish 2, French 2 or Latin 2, you must take the appropriate foreign language placement exam to determine your eligibility.  If you are currently taking a foreign language but prefer to begin with Spanish 1, French 1 or Latin 1, you do not have to take the placement exam.

Chorus
If you registered to take Mixed Chorus in the fall, you must audition for the Music Department. Please see the audition letter from the Music Department in your registration booklet for more information.

Advanced Acting
SAA Theatre Director Ms. Miller will be auditioning incoming 9th graders who wish to place out of Introduction to Acting and move directly into Advanced Acting.  Auditions will begin at 1 p.m. in the auditorium.  Please bring a prepard one minute monologue.  E-mail Ms. Miller at fmiller@st-agnes.org for additional information.

Supplies: 2 No. 2 pencils, 1 pen and calculator (for science only)

Science	10:00 a.m.	(calculator allowed)
Math	11:00 a.m.	(no calculator allowed)
Chorus Auditions	1:00 p.m.	(auditions in the chorus room)
Advanced Acting Auditions	1:00 p.m.	(auditions in the auditorium)
