A Note from the Head of School Thanks to all of our parents and students for another incredible school year at St. Agnes Academy! Please have a safe and relaxing summer before you return to us in August. When you return, be prepared to see a lot of changes on campus! Our new science building will be open and ready for our students! It is not too late to be a part of our building projects. Our Centennial Campaign stands at $10 million and support from families will help us gather the final $2 million we need to reach our campaign goal. Leave your mark on the legacy of St. Agnes by making a difference in the lives of our students today. For more details, please go to www.st-agnes.org. Have a wonderful summer!
Bless you, Sr. Jane Meyer, O.P., Head of School
Construction Update The construction of St. Agnes Academy's Center for the Sciences building will be completed by June 1. The remodeling of 17 classrooms, including the Fine Arts wing of the building, will begin immediately. The construction safety committee that was set up last August to work with Fretz Construction, our general contractor, will continue to ensure the safety of our students and faculty over the summer months. The construction site will continue to be totally enclosed and will be off-limits to all students, parents and non-construction personnel without previous authorization. We will be required to block the East road to prevent access to the back parking lot over the summer. The quickest access to the gym this summer is to park at Strake Jesuit as close to our gym as possible. Please refer to the St. Agnes Web site for a construction flow diagram.
Morning and Afternoon Traffic Flow Update Drop-off and pick up traffic for summer school will be in the front parking lots at depicted on the Web site summer traffic flow map.
Annual Fund Needs Your Help Four Percent! That is all that separates SAA from the 2006-2007 Annual Fund goal of $800,000. As the school year draws to a close, we hope you will push SAA to 100% completion of this goal. Does your company match gifts? Please send forms to the St. Agnes Advancement Office. Remember, the fiscal year ends June 30. Click here to participate today.
Final Grades Seniors received their final report cards at Graduation practice. The Grades section of NetView is turned off while final grades are processed.. Grades will be available online once report cards have been mailed. Report cards should be mailed the week of June 4.

Used Book Sale is coming!!! This year all information concerning the sale is available in the Bookroom area of the SAA web site. Procedures for selling and buying your books are provided for each grade level along with the list of books that will be used again next year. No lists will be given out in homeroom so be sure to visit the Bookroom area to get this valuable information!
Online Used Book Sale NOW open for business! In addition to the book sale at SAA you can sell your books online. Check out the St. Agnes Academy Online Used Book Sale in Bookroom on the St. Agnes website. Log in with your student ID. Select the books you want to put on the list to sell and/or view a list of books that other St. Agnes students are selling.
Foreign Language and Geometry CDs At the beginning of the school year, Spanish (1,2,3), French (1,2,3) and Geometry textbook CDs were turned in by students enrolled in those courses. Now instead of returning them, the school will buy the CDs from the students and a credit ($30 for foreign language and $60 for geometry) will appear on next year’s tuition statement. Because the school now owns the software, SAA will be able to offer all students in Spanish (1,2,3), French (1,2,3), Algebra (1,2) and Geometry the textbook software for a nominal $20 fee which will also appear on next year’s statement. If you have any questions, please contact the textbook coordinator, Denise Stasio, at dstasio@st-agnes.org.
Don't forget! Parents, please don't forget to collect and keep travel-sized toiletries during your summer travels! We will be collecting those in the fall and donating them to a local charity.
On behalf of the SAA Mothers' Club, we would like to extend a sincere thank you to the 2006-2007 Mothers' Club Board and our many volunteers. The Mothers' Club is comprised of a fantastic group of women that have worked hard to make St. Agnes a better place for all of our daughters. In the process, they have a lot of fun and make many new friends.
We look forward to working with you next year. There are many many volunteer opportunities for everyone. You should have already received a Volunteer Opportunities Form in the mail. Please look it over and send it back to the school ASAP. Committees are forming, and work is already getting started for the 2007-2008 school year. We will continue our tradition of supporting the education of the Academy.
Have a great summer and we look ahead to seeing all of you in August.
