BUILD-A-THON: Come for fun tonight!
The SAA Habitat for Humanity Club (H4H) is gearing up for their first annual BUILD-A-THON today from 7:30 p.m.-midnight (Lock-in from 8:30 p.m.-11 p.m.).  SAA, SJ and STHS students won’t want to miss this fun evening. KRBE will be the disc jockey for the evening and are very excited about helping SAA raise the roof for Habitat! To begin to build the first house, the girls must raise $65,000. So the minimum entrance fee for the evening is $25. Inclusive in that entrance fee will be prizes, games, dancing , karaoke, movies, food, XBOX games, open gym and much more on the night. Those that raise $50 will also receive a H4H T-shirt.   Girls raising $75 will receive a T-shirt, and a flip-flop day pass and those raising $100 will receive a T-shirt, flip-flop day pass and a sweatpants/pajama bottom day pass. Grand prize for the person raising the most money is a Wii. Information packets and permission slips were handed out in homeroom. This is a school wide event that you won’t want to miss!

SAA welcomes all to fall play: "The Diary of Anne Frank"

Please come and support this educational and entertaining event. To reserve tickets send an email with date and number of tickets to Annefrank-tickets@sbcglobal.net.

Baked goods needed for Open House
We need your help! Please volunteer to bring baked goods for SAA Open House on Nov. 7th. If you would like to help, please contact Karen Counter at karencounter@aol.com.

Drama club needs donations
The SAA Drama Dept. needs to enhance their tool collection!

One of the exciting aspects of being involved in the SAA Stage Productions is that the kids have hands-on experience, because we build many of our own sets, props, and costumes--this allows the students to feel proud of their accomplishments! Because of this, we are always in need of decent power and hand tools backstage.

While sifting through your garages and tool boxes this Fall, if you happen to find tools that you no longer use or wish to replace, please consider donating them to our department. We have a circular saw and a few hammers, but can always use more wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, pliers, screws, nuts, bolts, paintbrushes, etc.

For donations, please contact Theatre Director, Felicia Miller at fmiller@st-agnes.org.
As always, we thank you for your amazing generosity!

We encourage our juniors and seniors to participate.  The event begins at 7 p.m. and will conclude at 9 p.m. Parking is at a premium, so we encourage carpooling whenever possible. For a complete listing of this year’s participating colleges, please check the St. Agnes web site under counseling, College Night.

What a beautiful week it was! The Center for the Sciences and Student Services was dedicated and blessed by Cardinal-elect DiNardo on Tuesday with the entire student body present.

Also, the Academy women spent the day Wednesday helping many agencies around our city to serve the Houston community. A Special thank you to Carol Lester and Lauren Granberry, and their core team of volunteers for their tireless dedication to this project. It was a tremendous success.  Thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped to transport the entire student body across the city this past Wednesday.
