To the Parents of our freshman class of 2012 regarding health records: By not having complete health records on file with our school after May 9, 2008, we are in violation of the Texas Department of Health. We have contacted you by postcard to your home address and/or e-mail to your student regarding what forms are missing and/or incomplete. Students without complete health records by October 1st will not be admitted to classes. All of the forms are on our Web site here. If you have any questions regarding this matter or what forms we need from you, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me.

Keep Your Outlook Calendar Updated with SAA Events
You may have noticed our new online calendar. As we get comfortable with the new format, we look forward to expanding the functionality. We are excited to introduce a feature which will allow you to synchronize the SAA calendar with your Outlook calendar. Once you have completed the initial setup, it is easy to synchronize regularly so that you can capture calendar changes and update easily. Events can be transferred from Outlook to your PDA. For instructions, go to Parent Documents to access Sync SAA Calendar with Outlook.
Fall musical "Birds of Paradise" plays next week, Oct. 2-5
"Birds of Paradise" is a sweet story - both funny and poignant - with a terrific musical score by David Evans and Winnie Holzman. "Birds of Paradise" is the story of the Harbour Island Players, an amateur theater group whose lives are turned upside down when a professional actor, down on his luck, decides to direct and star in one of their productions.
Showtimes are October 2-4, 7:30 p.m., and October 5, 2 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $7 and will be sold during lunch, Monday, Sept. 30-Friday, Oct. 3 in the foyer of SAA between the gym and the cafeteria. You may also purchase tickets for $10 at the door. This musical is a black-box production, so seating is very limited. Be sure to buy your tickets early. Susan Komen Race for the Cure Gathering Info
TEAM SAA is getting pumped for the annual Komen Race for the Cure on Sat, Oct 4. We will gather at the NE corner of Bagby and Lamar (corner of Central Public Library) by 8:00am for the 5K Walk which begins at 8:40 a.m. Look for our SAA banner. Those registered for the running events should check with www.komen-houston.org for their starting times. Team SAA is larger than ever. We are still looking for sponsorships for the team's t-shirts. Oui, Oui! SAA's Evening in Paris Gala needs your help
Help us get ready for An Evening in Paris and bring an item for the auction to the Fleming Room on Wednesday Oct. 1 at 11:30 a.m., prior to the Mothers' Club Meeting. Item suggestions: sports-related items, season tickets, golf rounds, sports memorabilia, museum passes, movie passes, theatre tickets, concert tickets, restaurant gift certificates, travel-related items, car rentals, limo rentals, hotel stays, vacation homes, airline miles, cooking essentials, cookbooks, dorm essentials, off-to-college needs, etc.!
