"Messiah" tonight, tomorrow at Strake
The St. Agnes/ Strake Jesuit Mixed Chorus will present its' 19th annual performance of Handel’s "Messiah" at 7:30 p.m. on December 7 and 8 at Strake’s Parsley Family Center.  Triple Trio and Performance Workshop will also be performing both nights.  Amy Aquino, Katie Caravantes, Erin Cirioli, Kimberly Cuccia, Isabel Greiner, Katherine Kling, Kelly Loudin, Cristina Mims, Katherine Noble, Suzanna Morin , Nadeen Mustafa, KC Olsewski , Meeka Opong , Kelly O’Brien, Jacqueline Perrin, Letty Perez, and Carolyn Webb will be performing solos.  Sina Balogun, Jared Castillo, Stephen Janda, Justin Jones, Andrew Loperena, Ty Messina, Luke Novick, Rheme Sloan, Walker Smith, and Jacob Walker are from Strake and will be performing solos also. TLC - Exam Snacks needed!
Donations of water, juices, mini pretzels, Cheese-its, bagels, mixed nuts, biscotti, candy, rice krispie treats, and/or any other snack you think might be appealing to a SAA student taking exams are need for our TLC Stations.  There will be a collection site in front of the rotunda of the new science building from 7 to 8 a.m. on Thursday, December 13 and Friday, December 14.

Raffle Time is Here! 
Once again, it is time for the St. Agnes Academy Annual Raffle, which benefits all students as well as positively promoting the St. Agnes name in the community! Our goal this year is $160,000, which will be raised by offering these fantastic prizes:

 ·  Grand Prize: 2008 Mazda Tribute - Purchased at Russell and Smith Ford
    (winner pays vehicle tax, title and license and applicable federal income tax)

 ·  2nd Prize: Apple MacBook - donated by Donna and David Schmidt

INFORMATION REGARDING THE PSAT

We are in receipt of the PSAT results as of late December 5th.  We will prepare all of the materials that we include in our mail-out Thursday and Friday and begin to mail the results to our juniors on Monday or Tuesday of next week.  We are still waiting for the PLAN results to arrive and will not be able to mail the sophomores their packets of information until we are in receipt of the PLAN. 

We ask all of our families to carefully review all of the information that we include in the packet as we feel it is very useful to understanding test results and to using the College Board website as a tool for the college exploration process.

Our next Mothers’ Club meeting, a Christmas Celebration, will be Wednesday, Dec 12, at The Lahart Home, 3114 Aberdeen Way, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.   Celebrate the Christmas season with St. Agnes friends and fellowship.  A short meeting will start at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served immediately afterwards.  All are welcome!  Please join us!

Gail Branca, gbranca@comcast.net, is organizing the Christmas Fund. Each year the SAA families fund a Christmas bonus to all faculty and staff.  If you would like to contribute please send in your contribution to the school no later than Dec. 17th.

Final Exams will be here before you know it..If you would like to contribute snacks for the girls during exams please contact Sophia Furnace at sfurnace@st-agnes.org

Chaperones are needed for the St. Agnes Christmas Dance to he held on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 at The Hyatt Regency Hotel Downtown. Please contact Donna Grehn at dgrehn@comcast.net if you can help.  It is a great way to see the girls and theor dates.
