Athletic Summer Camps

Athletic summer camps are offered for the following sports: Basketball, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Water Polo, and Volleyball. Registrations for St. Agnes Athletics 2019 Summer Camps will be open soon. If you have any questions, please email the head coach of that specific sport.



ATHLETIC PHYSICALS are required for anyone trying out/participating in Athletics at St. Agnes Academy.
 
Athletic Physical Night is Wednesday, May 8, 2:30-5:30 p.m. in the SAA Gallagher Gymnasium – (Open to students of all ages) Please bring $20 cash and the completed Liability Release Document.
Athletic physicals, or Pre-participation Physical Examination, are required annually for anyone trying out for any sport.

    June 3 and June 5 -- 8:00-10:00 am (tentatively set based upon VB’s Little Cubs camp numbers)
    June 10 and June 12 -- 12:00-2:00 PM
    June 17 and June 19 -- 10:00-12:00 PM
    June 24 and June 26 -- 12:00-2:00 pm (12 to 1 in weight room, 1 to 2 in gym).

  • 2019 Basketball Camp

    Basketball Comprehensive Camp – June 10-14, 9:00-12:00 p.m.
    (for rising 6-9th grade girls) $110

    The Comprehensive Basketball Camp is designed for students entering 6th – 9th grades of any school public or private, who are committed to being taught the skills of basketball. All offensive and defensive individual and team fundamentals will be covered as well as stretching routines.  It is our sole purpose to assist your daughter in becoming the best basketball athlete possible.  It is the intention of our Camp staff to give your child the necessary tools to develop her attitude as a "winner", "leader" and a "competitor”.

  • 2019 Cross Country Camps

    Rising 9th Grade Cross Country Camp – Tuesday, May 14, 4-6 p.m.
    (for rising St Agnes 9th graders) $55
    Our camp is designed for girls of all running abilities. This session will focus on basic training and how to build core strength. It is designed to highlight and expose the potential talent of rising ninth graders. Expect to work hard and build a strong fitness base! You will learn the training strategies for the upcoming season.

    Cross Country Camp – June 3-7, 7-9 a.m. 
    (for girls of all ages and running abilities) $155
    Our camp is designed for girls of all ages and running abilities. Each session will focus on basic training and building core strength. Experienced coaches will provide technical advice to help each runner build endurance and speed. Expect to work hard and build a strong fitness base!

    Cross Country Aerobic Camp – June 24-27, 7-10 a.m.
    (for rising 6-12th grade girls and boys)
    Aerobic camp will teach the runner about base miles and improve their aerobic capacity.  It will also teach the proper posture, balance, foot placement and running economy.
    Topics such as rest, nutrition and proper foot wear will be discussed. Each runner will understand what it takes to become a competitive distance runner.

  • 2019 Field Hockey Camps

    Advanced Field Hockey Camp – June 10-14 7:30 – 9 a.m.
    (girls with 2+ years experience) $125
    The Advanced field hockey camp will combine skill acquisition with competitive scrimmages. Camp will focus on advanced technical skills (shooting, reverse sweep, defensive tackles) and small sided games or scrimmages. The intent is to allow players opportunities for multiple repetitions of each skill and to then work to implement them in to their game. Players attending should have at least two years of experience in a field hockey program (high school, junior high, or club).
     
    Field Hockey Camp – June 10-14, 9-11 a.m.
    (for girls of all levels) $155
    Our field hockey camp is designed for girls of all levels – from beginners who have never played to advanced players who are looking toward collegiate opportunities. This camp will improve your daughter’s technical skill, game knowledge, and overall conditioning. Camp directors will work with individuals to prepare them for field hockey team tryouts, and to bring their game to the next level.

  • 2019 Soccer Camp

    Soccer Camp – June 3-7, 9– 11 a.m.
    (for rising 7-12th grade girls) $155
    Our camp is designed for girls entering 7-12th grade who are committed to improving their skills and mastering new techniques. Each session will focus on both technical and tactical components of the game. St. Agnes soccer coaches and staff will work with players to improve their mental and physical capacity for the game.

  • 2019 Volleyball Camps

    Rising 9th Grade Volleyball Select Camp – Monday, May 6, 6-8 p.m.
    (for rising St. Agnes 9th graders) $45
    This camp is open to all incoming 9th graders interested in volleyball. It is designed to highlight and expose the talent of rising ninth graders. The select camp is run by St. Agnes Coaches and former volleyball athletes.  Secure your spot in this session now.  The registration deadline is April 30th.

    Little Cubs Volleyball Camp – June 3-6, 8:30-10 a.m.
    (for rising 3rd-6th grade girls) $135
    Our Little Cubs camp is designed to teach the game of volleyball through fun and engaging introductory drills and games. We will utilize age appropriate game simulations to cover the fundamentals while having a great time! The campers will work alongside St. Agnes coaches, current players and alumnae.

    All-Skills Volleyball Camp – June 3-7, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
    (for rising 7-12th grade girls) $155
    Our all skills camp is designed to address the skills needed to compete at the middle school and high school level. We will teach the necessary skill set for overall player development:  movement training, ball control, offensive and defensive techniques, position training and game play.  The campers will work alongside St. Agnes coaches, current players and alumnae.

    Volleyball Competition Camp – June 3-7, 2-4 pm
    (for rising 7-12th grade girls) $125/$85 if attending All-Skills Volleyball Camp/$55 for SAA players who work All-Skills
    This 5-day adventure camp will catapult you into tournament mode as we start and end with game play while sharpening your tactical skills. We will send you on a rollercoaster of group and team scenarios on and off the court as we work to improve your leadership skills, team chemistry, game play, and true understanding of how to play against the ball. The campers will work alongside St. Agnes coaches, current players and alumnae.

    Volleyball Positional Training – June 24-27 
    Register separately for each camp or for all 4 Camps for $175

    Liberos Camp – June 24 and 26, 9-10:30 a.m.
    (for rising 7th – 12th grade girls) $50
    This camp will break down serving, serve receive, and defense. The focus will be on footwork, tracking, and platform control on serve receive.  Defensively we will break down digging, run-throughs and rolling. If your daughter is an elite 6th grader, please email Cydryce McMillian if you are interested in her attending.
     
    Setter/Hitter Camp – June 24 and 26, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
    (for rising 7th – 12th grade girls) $50
    This camp will combine setters and hitters.  We will begin with fundamental training separately for each position then combine to work on tempo, timing, and more game like situations.  If your daughter is an elite 6th grader, please email Cydryce McMillian if you are interested in her attending.
     
    Setter Camp – June 25 and 27, 9-10:30 a.m.
    (for rising 7th-12th grade girls) $50
    This camp covers the basics of setting.  We will divide into levels upon arrival.  Beginners will focus on hand position/footwork and the basics of setting.  The Advanced group will improve on fundamentals and then develop experience setting several different offensive options throughout the session. If your daughter is an elite 6th grader, please email Cydryce McMillian if you are interested in her attending.

    Hitter/Blocking Camp – June 25  and 27, 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
    (for rising 7th-12th grade girls) $50
    This camp covers Hitting and Blocking skills for volleyball and is geared to grades 7th-12th. Players will be divided into groups of the Beginner / Intermediate level and the Intermediate / Advanced level. We will focus on developing a strong approach to the ball, tipping, rolling, as well as many different tempos.  In blocking we will focus on footwork, hand position and blocking strength.

  • 2019 Water Polo Camp

    Water Polo Camp – June 26 and 27, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
    (for rising 6-9th graders) $155
    Never played water polo before? No problem! Our camp targets beginners with a focus on fundamentals like treading, swimming, ball handling, passing, and shooting. Day 2 of camp will be a review of fundamentals and an introduction of offense/defense, and will end in a fun scrimmage. Our camp is ideal for 6th-9th graders who are looking for a new and challenging sport to try! What to bring? Swimsuit, towel, goggles, sunscreen, water bottle, and a snack.
