St. Agnes rallies for first TAPPS state volleyball title since 2005

The St. Agnes volleyball team waited 14 years to raise the TAPPS state championship trophy again. The Tigers were not going to let a few more tense sets stand in their way.

St. Agnes entered a game staring at postseason elimination seven times during the last three rounds of the TAPPS 6A playoffs.

The team even faced championship point several times in the fourth set of the state final against defending champion Plano Prestonwood Christian, somehow rallying from 24-18 to extend the match.
