Tiger Girls Amazing Summer Season
The Tiger Girls summer training season draws to a close as the 2016 – 2017 school year begins. During the season, the Tiger Girls officer lines attended Trendsetters Officer Camp where the Military and Social officer lines won multiple awards for outstanding technique, leadership, and artistry. Tiger Girls Elite travelled to Northwestern State University in Louisiana for NDA Camp where they earned a bid to Nationals at the completion of camp! In addition, they were awarded Silver for their Team Leader performance, Gold for their Elite performance, and an overall Technical Excellence Award! Individual awards went to Emily Bivins for Top Gun Turns for excellent turning technique. NDA selected Emily Bivins (11), Kristin Fogt (11) and Giselle Gisser (12) to be a part of the All-American team. In addition, Colonel Giselle Gisser was selected as the Top All-American!

The Tiger Girls attended Crowd Pleasers Line Camo where they won Top Team for being the overall most outstanding team at camp! In addition to the top award, they were awarded Outstanding Technique, Most Disciplined, Outstanding Showmanship, and earned Platinum level scores on final evaluations. The Crowd Pleasers staff voted the Tiger Girls as the Slay Squad on the first day of camp and the other teams voted our TG's as Most Admired team on Day 3. Senior Sophia Scott, Junior Kristin Fogt and Sophomore McKenna Sanders were chosen as Kick Masters in an elimination style kick competition. Juniors Emily Bivins and Margaret Donnelly as well as Sophomore Ashley Dalton were chosen as Star Dancers through another elimination style competition as they performed the camp dance. The Tiger Girls had an amazing summer season!
