Registration Information for the Inspirit AI Summer Program

Here’s everything you need to know about how to register your daughter for the AI program.

Dates and Duration

  • Schedule: Monday, June 10 through Friday, June 21 (no class on June 19th).
  • Total Sessions: 10 sessions, each 3 hours long

Eligibility and Experience

  • Open to: Students from grades 7-12.
  • No prior experience in computer science needed: The program is designed to be accessible to all students, regardless of their background in computer science.

Curriculum Highlights

  • Fundamentals of AI: Understanding how AI powers technologies like ChatGPT, battles against COVID-19, and drives self-driving cars.
  • Programming with Python: Students will learn to program AI using Python, a key skill in the tech industry.
  • Ethics and Bias in AI: The classes will include core discussions on the ethical implications and biases inherent in AI technologies.

There will be a priority registration period for St. Agnes families. The class is also open to middle school students during the open registration period.

  • Priority Registration: Available through February for St. Agnes students.
  • Open Registration: Post-February, open to all schools.

  • Cost: $1,600 for 31.5 hours of intensive, hands-on learning
  • Unique Learning Experience: Taught by AI practitioners and graduate students from Stanford and MIT who will travel to Houston specifically for this program.
