Tiger Athletics

St. Agnes Academy, an all-girl private high school in Texas, has earned more than 90 State titles in athletics and annually competes against some of the best private and public schools in the state. We offer 12 different sports during three seasons and have more than 500 students involved in at least one of our 30 teams.

We encourage participation in athletics because it offers our students the opportunity to learn important life-lessons such as teamwork, self-discipline, courage, and determination. Participating in high school athletics provides our student-athletes with the chance to develop characteristics that will help them to become more active, higher-achieving, productive members of society. Since we offer a wide variety of programs, our students can find a place where they can apply their personal skills and talents while contributing to our institution’s rich tradition of success.

The Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), our governing body, promotes a district schedule with a play-off format similar in nature to UIL public school institutions. State Championships are recognized in Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Track and Field and Volleyball. Water Polo, Lacrosse, and Field Hockey are run by independent organizations that endorse state competitions for the varsity teams.
