When it comes to what makes the St. Agnes education special, there are many factors to consider: our vibrant all-girls environment, our Dominican, Catholic legacy, and our teachers. Our teachers play a great role in making the St. Agnes experience an unparalleled one.

The Importance of Celebrating Our Teachers
The teachers at St. Agnes are an integral part of what makes the St. Agnes experience. Through their deep care for students, engaging lessons, love for their subject, and embodiment of the St. Agnes spirit, our teachers are undoubtedly an unforgettable part of every student’s experience at St. Agnes.
Although teachers deserve more than one full week of celebration because of what they do every single day, the first week of May is just our excuse to celebrate the amazing teachers who make the St. Agnes experience one to remember!
How We Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week 2025
National Teacher Appreciation Week 2025 begins Monday, May 5, and ends Friday, May 9. Here are some of the fun activities we have planned to celebrate.
Roary Recognition
Roary Recognition is a monthly celebratory event recognizing a St. Agnes teacher or staff member for their amazing work. This faculty member is voted on by the whole Student Council once a month, and once chosen, their class will have a surprise class party!
Our Tiger Athletics mascot, Roary the Tiger, and Student Council members surprise the chosen teacher’s class with gifts, bubbles, gift cards, and snacks to celebrate this teacher and their students.
Teacher Appreciation Week Activities
Student Council’s Faculty and Staff committee has an exciting lineup of activities to honor teachers this May. They will celebrate various teachers in these ways:
- Use Veritas Television for a weekly announcement video played for the student body.
- Shepherd a snack cart to go around to teachers’ classrooms, including various baked goods and coffee.
- Organize the Student Council for students to create personal cards for every faculty member.
How to Get Involved As a Parent
Want to get involved in Teacher Appreciation Week 2025 as a student’s parent? Our Parents Association – Parents Aligned with Students (PAWS) – is hosting a Teacher Appreciation lunch for Teacher Appreciation Week this year.
